G’day, I’m Alex Watson, the Director and Principal Broker of Funded Finance. After more than a decade in banking and mortgage broking, I founded Funded Finance with a simple goal: to create a better home loan experience — one built on clarity, communication, and genuinely great outcomes for clients.
I saw too many people left confused, under-informed, and treated like a transaction. So instead of building a brokerage that simply “gets loans approved,” I built one that delivers Australia’s Most Connected Home Loan Journey — with over 40 structured engagement points designed to keep clients informed, supported, and confident at every stage.
Today, Funded Finance helps Australians across the country buy their first homes, upgrade, invest, and build long-term financial security through property. Behind every deal is a dedicated team, a clear process, and a Game Plan designed around the client — not the bank.
For me, this isn’t just about interest rates and loan structures. It’s about helping people make good financial decisions with confidence, knowing they have a team beside them that genuinely cares about where they’re heading.

Meet Bindi
I’m Bindi , Alex’s Executive Assistant here at Funded Finance. My role is all about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes so Alex can focus on helping our clients achieve their financial goals.
I bring over 15 years of experience in banking, having worked as a Senior Leader at Commonwealth Bank, I have led one of Australia’s largest home lending teams both strategically and operationally to achieve unmatched outcomes for our clients. That experience gave me a deep understanding of both clients’ needs and the importance of efficient, high-quality lending support.
Day to day, I manage Alex's inbox and diary, coordinate customer and stakeholder meetings and look after our customer portfolio. I make sure our clients have competitive interest rates for the life of their loan, not just at the time of settlement! I also coordinate regular meetings with Alex to ensure clients are utilising his industry expertise to build wealth and achieve long term financial success.
I'm passionate about making things simple and easy for our busy customers, while also encouraging them to prioritise the Your Funded Future process because every day I see how much value these sessions can bring to our customers' financial journey
Meet Mary
I’m Mary, Broker Associate here at Funded Finance. My role is to assist Alex in bringing your financial strategy to life, ensuring your journey feels seamless and personalised from start to finish.
With a background in customer service and three years as a Mortgage Support Officer, I bring a strong understanding of the complexities involved in processing mortgage applications all across Australia. I’ll work directly with your solicitors and the bank to coordinate and complete the settlement process, making the final stages as smooth as possible.
Holding a degree in Accountancy, I’m dedicated to delivering accuracy and efficiency at every step—it’s essential for keeping things running smoothly when working with lenders and ensuring your best interests are front and centre. As a wife, homemaker, and mum to a wonderful daughter, I know the importance of financial decisions that impact families. My commitment is to keep things clear, stress-free, and to set you up for success, every step of the way!

I’m Laura, Credit Analyst here at Funded Finance. I work closely with Alex and the wider team to research and build each person’s Game Plan and Loan strategy, ensuring the most suitable lender and loan structure are selected to suit your unique situation.
With an accounting degree and over a decade of experience in banking and finance, I bring a strong understanding of how lenders assess applications and how to match people with the right lending solution. This allows me to carefully compare options and support each person toward a confident, well structured outcome.
After taking time away to focus on my young family, I’m excited to be back doing what I love, helping people and families move toward their Funded Future. I’m passionate about delivering clear communication, fast turnarounds and a high standard of excellence, so you always feel informed, supported and confident throughout your journey.
